We're back! After a short hiatus from the newsletter so we could pour our heart and soul into the UAS Tech Forum we are happy to be back with all the UAS news you may have missed over the last few weeks.

Water-based launching of a remotely deployable UAS under diverse conditions
Naval Surface Warfare Center - Pacific

The invention is a deployment system for a water-based launch of a UAS.

The structure includes an inflatable bladder to suspend the tube at a specified depth of water, with a telescopic weight below the tube to ensure proper orientation. To power a launch, the system may use a compressed air tank, a track guided actuator, or a spring-loaded device.

The patented technology is available via patent license agreement to companies that would make, use, or sell it commercially.
