2. Oklahoma Aerospace Week Set to Soar, April 1-6

Oklahoma's Aerospace and Defense community is set to celebrate the state's first annual Oklahoma Aerospace Week, powered by the Oklahoma City Innovation District in collaboration with the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics. This week-long celebration will showcase the state's prominence in the national aerospace industry and foster collaboration among experts, professionals, and enthusiasts. Events include:

The Aerospace Innovative Training Symposium on Tuesday, April 2. In this symposium, participants will identify solutions that address aerospace sector education and training challenges, and encourage workforce development. The keynote speaker for the symposium will be Jim Bridenstine, former NASA Administrator, who will be introduced by Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell. The Aero Advocacy Day at the Capitol will be on Wednesday, April 3. This event will provide a platform for industry leaders to engage directly with legislators and drive innovation in the aerospace sector.

The OKCID "Tech Talk" and Opening Reception on Monday, April 1st sponsored by Aerospace Commerce Economic Services (ACES) Program and is centered around innovative aerospace technologies. Free registration link for Tech Talk and Opening Reception

"Taking Flight," Scissortail Park's annual Wind and Kite Festival will be on Saturday, April 6th. An exciting event for all ages, the festival will feature additional STEAM activities centered around aviation and aerospace.
