Early Bird Rate to the UAS Tech Forum Extended
James O Poss
Tom McMahon

You don't have to be a drone scientist to see at first glance that this year's agenda at the UAS Tech Forum is chalk full of first-rate speakers such as retired Air Force Maj. Gen. James Poss, ISR Ideas CEO and former director of the ASSURE program; and AUVSI Senior Vice President Tom McMahon. And that is just the tip of the iceberg!

Register today and receive $50 off the regular registration rate for this annual event scheduled for Sept. 12-13 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This extended early-bird rate may not last long, so hurry and register before this limited-time offer disappears for good.

Technology Spotlight
High—density fuels from renewable alcohols
Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division
Over the last several years, a variety of methods have been developed for the conversion of biomass feedstocks to full-performance renewable fuels. One important pathway relies on the dehydration of renewable alcohols to alkenes followed by oligomerization to jet fuel range hydrocarbons. Navy scientists have developed a process for the conversion of renewable alcohols to high-performance fuels. Higher net heats of combustion (NHOC), which can be generated from sustainable alcohol feedstocks, are ideal for volume-limited aircraft such as UAVs.
