Skyway Flight Test Range Developments

The Skyway Flight Test Range is in development in northeast Oklahoma to support both the advancement of the national UAS and AAM industry along with generating new technologies and businesses in Oklahoma. This flight test range is a 115 mile track consists of 4 legs, or corridors, and 4 staging points, or nodes, connecting the OSU Unmanned Aircraft Flight Station with the Osage Nation Skyway36 Droneport by Tulsa. It is designed to support test and evaluation of AAM technologies and systems, including BVLOS, for a broad range of applications including unmanned vehicles, cargo or passenger transport. The flexibility of the Skyway Flight Test Range will be adaptive to changes in regulation and aerial vehicles, to demonstrate safety, security, and performance in a variety of situations integral to the growth of the industry.

There is a RFP opportunity to provide for command and control systems along with detect-and-avoid and unmanned traffic management systems. If you are interested, proposals are due by July 28 and details may be found at Oklahoma State Central Procurement under Skyway Range – Flight Corridor

The development of the Skyway Flight test range is a collaborative effort between Oklahoma State University (OSU), Osage LLC, and Tulsa Innovation Labs.

UASCI is creating an environment where unmanned aviation startups can thrive, connect with innovative networks, access global capital, discover national technologies and learn from proven tech industry leaders.
