Global Entrepreneurship Week in Oklahoma

November 13-19 , 2023, is Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Oklahoma and across the globe. Each November, 10 million people take part in tens of thousands of activities, competitions and events that provide them with the knowledge, experience and connections they need to succeed as an entrepreneur. As part of the global events, Oklahoma has over 74 live and virtual events designed to foster community impact and ecosystem awareness.

This week will feature a number of virtual webinars streamed on the GEW Oklahoma Linked In page.
Included in these webinars, UASCI Executive Director, Craig Mahaney will participate on 2 panels:
- one on the Innovation Ecosystem (Tuesday Nov 14th at 10:00 am); and
- one on Venture Capital (Friday Nov 17th at 8:30 am).

Defense TechConnect Summit and Fall SBIR/STTR Innovation Conference

The annual Defense TechConnect (DTC) Summit, co-located with the Fall SBIR/STTR Innovation Conference and Resilience Week at the Gaylord at National Harbor, from November 28 to 30. This collaborative event unites defense, private industry, federal agencies, and academic leaders to accelerate the development of cutting-edge technology solutions for the military and national security.
A component of this event, the SBIR/STTR Innovation Conference, offers direct access to over $4 billion in early-stage funding, valuable insights on securing funding, and excellent networking opportunities with global industry experts, investors, and key federal leaders. For startups or business developing new technologies and products related to military and national security, this is an opportunity to connect with federal program managers and entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs) for learning and networking.

Oklahoma Women in Aviation and Aerospace Day

Oklahoma Women in Aviation and Aerospace Day is an annual event to advance STEM and aerospace career awareness in the minds of policymakers, students, the citizens of Oklahoma, and to the national aviation and aerospace industries. This year's event will be on December 8th, 2023, at the 137th Special Operations Wing at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. The program features Heather "Lucky" Penney as the keynote speaker and that Col. (Ret) Eileen Collins will accept the appointment as the 2023 Woman of the Year.
