Spotlight article: Lab to Business Technology Presentation 3, and other UASCI upcoming events and activities
The 3rd UASCI Lab to Business Technology Presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 at 1:00 pm CT. This is a free online event. To register for this event, please go to UAS Cluster Initiative Event registration
This event is for serial entrepreneurs, new entrepreneurs, or an existing businesses looking for your next UAS or AAM opportunities. As with previous events, this program features curated technology opportunities from Federal Laboratories.
Technologies to be presented:
- A vertiport location assessment tool to assist in urban vertiport planning. The tool evaluates a variety of factors, e.g., intermodal centers, environmental impact, zoning/land use, to determine the most suitable locations for vertiports in a desired city/region
- A traffic management system for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UASs) to enable significant commercial use of UASs within lower altitude airspace for safe, efficient UAS operations that does not interfere with National Airspace System (NAS) operations
- A system that uses UAVs to inspect and identify debris and foreign objects on runway, taxiway, and tarmac surfaces.
- A UAV based system that can measure distances, determine ground points, analyze the speed of moving objects, and perform other velocity measurements and analyses to identify the specific location and movement of a ground object.
