As the world continues its fight against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), more businesses are experiencing the adverse effects from the battle to slow or stave off this potentially deadly disease. Many businesses have been forced to either lay off workers or cut hours, while others have shuttered their operations with little hope of soon returning to some form of normalcy.

A team of U.S. Navy scientists working at the Naval Air Warfare Center's Weapons Division in China Lake, California, has recently developed an efficient launcher for fixed-wing unmanned aircraft comprised of a launch rail, carriage, pair of pulley drivers, and a cable and pulley system.

The patented design is available via license agreement to companies that would make, use, or sell it commercially.
