With ongoing multi-site developmentsand a newly completed world-class drone testing facility, theOsage LLC's Skyway36 is positioned to to lead the drone certification process, help develop software for safe drone flights, and become a "critical node along the nation's most ambitious UAS testing range." This is possible due to a $51 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) for a project called "SAFE-T," or the Secure Autonomy Feedback Evaluation Testbed. The EDA grant and world-class drone testing facility at Skyway36 has attracted the Swiss-based drone testing company, WindShape, to further enhance the capabilities of the range.
Skyway36 Droneport and Technology Innovation Center is the ideal location for flight testing all modes of UAS and AAM technologies. Strategically situated within Osage Nation, less than 5 miles from downtown Tulsa and 10 miles from Tulsa International Airport, Skyway36 provides a unique combination of urban cityscape and rural environments.

New Vertical Innovations Opportunity: Tilt Frame UAV design.
Great news for entrepreneurs and small businesses! The February Vertical Innovations is back with a new technology licensing and commercialization opportunity in the UASCI Vertical Marketplace.
This month's opportunity is the Tilt Frame UAV from the University of California, Davis. The revolutionary Tilt-Frame UAV combines the precision hovering capabilities of quadcopters with the long-range efficiency of fixed-wing aircraft through its innovative frame-tilting mechanism. This unmanned aerial system seamlessly transitions between vertical and horizontal flight while featuring specialized air sampling technology that can detect Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) for agricultural and environmental monitoring.
To find out more about this and other groundbreaking tech from top universities and federal labs at the UAS Cluster Initiative Vertical Marketplace. To access the marketplace, registration is required but free.
